Got EA Play to try the time limited demo of this. Can't decide if I like it or not. Playing against the AI and Professional seems too difficult but semi-pro is too easy. Not sure I want to buy it or not. Shame Pro Evo has gone to shit.

I've found the secret is you have to go full in someones face, 10 depth, press after possession loss stuff, or, you have to do the exact opposite and sit back. My plan was always to start with the former. If someone could play their way through the press then continuing it would be suicide. Too many people get caught doing somewhere in between and doing almost nothing.

The most important thing thing once you have your tactics down is defensive shape. Never move a member of your back 3/4/5 out of position unless it's needed to make a last ditch tackle. Always have your CDM selected and charge about the place with them.

On top of that, master jockeying. Once they get into my 3rd I prefer to cut the passing lanes, close the gap and then make the tackle. Beating people is very difficult on this game.

I still think the answer in general to gameplay is just stopping defences jamming that much - limit the sliders to +2/-2 on depth and width in particular.

Got Hernandez, 190k right there.

Red picks were meh - Muller is nicely rated and that new Spurs defender looks decent enough, third was a nobody.

Overall though, cracking rewards for 12 wins. Made it there with 4 to spare (which I OG, RQ’d for karma), despite a rage induced run of a few losses, which came off the back of a particularly egregious couple of goals conceded from ‘I’ve tackled 5 times, you cunt’ ball sticking to Bruno Fernandes BS.

I have to say, this is the best gameplay FIFA has ever had. Ok, it's not perfect, but headers work, it seems relatively balanced and most importantly of all it's fun. If they can sort the objectives/SBC side of it out (I'm confident they will) it'll be the best yet.

This was what Nep said in his recent RTG video - they've gone a bit off the rails on the "menus" side of the game but you can crack on with playing the game and get rewarded. I'd like more players to play for (that aren't shit like Andre).

Played one Rivals game (Div 7, smashed it, 4-0 rage quit by half time) and three SB games on World Class and he felt really good. Not sure how well he fits into a 4-4-2 though, which is something I'll need to think about.

Fekir’s SBC card and Wirtz’s POTM are absolutely stunning players.

Courtois; Navas, Kounde, Umtiti (special card), IF Wendell; Fekir, Can; Sane, Wirtz, IF Dias; Malen

451 but 4231 in game so full chemistry. Luis Dias is properly good as well. Want to get rid of Malen but not sure for who. Haaland finishes well but I prefer agility in players and he’s like a truck turning. Usually just sub on Pedro for Malen and put Dias through the middle.

Was in div 7 when I started the team and now away to be in Div 2. Only lost once but not sure if the players I’m playing are awful as I’m not conceding from every attack anymore

I done the Inaki Williams SBC but slightly regretting it after realising he’s got 2* weak foot. His normal card was pretty average. Should be alright for off the bench.
