I've got bugger all decent TOTS so far. Alisson, Hincapie, Mac Allister and Malard are the only ones with any gameplay value
Gameplay is starting to twig with me a bit now. I noticed I was losing the possession battle in almost every game and it was starting to get quite 60-40 at times too. That was my warning to go and get some custom tactics sorted. I also found at times just holding possession for the sake of it can help.
Defending is where I'm currently less happy. As Shinners says, if you give any of these top attackers a yard, they're gone. For now being ultra aggressive and playing a Spurs high line is working. My biggest issue with this is when you win the ball back deep in your own half. You get so penned in. Add in that sometimes the game just passes to who it wants, you can end up providing a belter of an assist to the other team by trying to play out.
I few more decent TOTS in, including Donarumma, Medina and Nkunku. So it does look like a French/Ligue 1 theme is developing. To that end, Sissoko and Lacazette look like players I should be bringing in. I have no idea how you go about crafting these days as I've not done it for near 2 years, but I don't think I can do both in the time without learning.
I haven't touched it for weeks, but still watch the occasional Nep video. Get on the 77+5 TOTS objective grind and you should be able to do a load of squads from that.
After I saw your post went to youtube and it was front and centre recommended.

Been plugging away at this and now up to Div 5. Confident enough now to stick gold Rafa in the team to go for objectives and it was still working.
Got Athenea from a TOTS pack and Aleix Garcia from the La Liga one for doing dailys. Got about 50 in on the crafting path too but my last one was one of the Williams(LW one) brothers.
I have done Ederson showdown as even now it's a good card and it's cheap enough to justify. If somehow Atalanta do Leverkusen over it'll be a mental card. I'm waiting for rewards in the morning to fully commit to any of the other SBC players.

I hope so. He'd go well with my new shiny Ederson. Might even be reasonably cheap considering Nigeria will be harder to link. Though I see people have twigged that his TOTW card fits one of the Evos to get him to a 93 rated 5/5* said TOTW is now extinct, so it may be worth trying to do the TOTW picks on the very rare chance he shows up.
I haven't yet even looked at Evos myself yet so my question is can you run multiple cards through the same Evo, or are the Evos a one use only kind of deal?

It’s a bit of pain to restart on a card (should you want to). But if you did gold lookman you can evo IF Lookman with no issue for example.
Free one are worth it right now for fodder atleast. ESP as they don’t have to start
Been looking through now to try and see who I might have that would fit the free ones. I literally just used an 86 Terrier which would have been a pretty decent one for Ligue 1. Would have come out as a pretty good winger.
At present I'm thinking Raphinha for La Liga, though the playstyles more seem to suit a CAM type. Double 5* too so it's maybe worth getting him done. Militao also looks like he comes out of it a monster. Playstyles a bit unsuited though.
The non-free Evos being 100k coins seems lol to me. Very steep to in most parts just get a +1.

The Putellas pull means I probably wont do Sissoko now. Between her and Ederson I have two great midfielders already. Linking them all in is the next issue. I'll see what Italians this new TOTS brings.
I should probably now do both of the Barcelona women SBCs that are out. By the price EA reckon they're winning so that CB could be nuts. The RB only being 5"5 is a bother considering the price. Belter of a card otherwise.

You've likely done it but the Bundesliga TOTS Evo expires tomorrow. It's free and you can turn 85 Goretzka or Coman into 93 rateds. The playstyles suit Coman more, though he only has the 77 stamina. Goretzka looks very good with it, though the Technical+ does seem a bit of a waste.
I did Goretzka simply because I had him.

Did Lookman straight away and went into the friendly lounge. It ticked off a load of rewards including an 85+ pick in which I got Osimhen. Managed to get Sommer, Tavernier, Bonucci and Herrera too.
Sanches seems like a must-do, but linking Putellas is going to need one of her Barca friends now almost certainly.

She is. I'm running a 4-3-2-1 for now and have her as the left sided CM. 7 goals and 5 assists in 9 games with her so far.

Lookman is great. I have him off the right and Osimhen in the middle. Worked my way into Div 3 now and Lookman is getting two goals per game. Osimhen feels a little stiff but it's nice having a taller ST up there to bounce the play off. He's on Engine but only 2 chem for now. Finishes everything that comes his way.
Anyone who has known how I've played this over the years will know I have always preferred the dainty technically gifted type, over big and strong. I feel like bar Osimhen I'm collecting super midgets again.

Looking at it it's literally just aimed at Theo, Dimarco, Weah or Di Lorenzo isnt it? You could make a case for an up to date version of Tomori or Immobile, but the playstyles don't really suit them.

Been bashing the draft for the objectives and getting some stupid teams out of it. I just can't win one though. I keep getting to the final then getting torched. Last one was frustrating. Very even game in open play, but he had TOTY Haaland. He scored 4 goals from corners. I just had no way to stop it.
Some of the football you can play with these top tier cards is silly. I would love to see a future instalment with a game mode banning skill moves though.
Been sticking the fodder into Sanches, Joselu and Mkhi. I'll have to give WL a go at some point. Previous years I could get 14-16 wins a week, though I'd be happy to get better than 10-10 with how I feel on this years version.
